I don't know if i am right but i think you have to get knife kills for the daggers and shotgun kills for the shotgun. The skull is for head shots and the bones are for revives or something. I don't rank up for lasting longer but I think these are the ways you rank up from what i have heard. Just a guess do not flame please.
