I want to get into coding and i want to ask a few questions as to what language i need to learn etc.

the main apsect of coding that i want to learn is web design so what would be the best language to learn? (Im guessing HTML?) but id eather be certain.

Is there any links you can give out for me to start learning.

One more question is if i started learning coding know does anyone know how long it takes to learn code (A rough guess if you can)

If theres any other things you would like to advise or anything then feel free to do so .

Thanks

For web design, you would be best to start off with HTML, then CSS, and Javascript.

When you get the hang of those languages, you can get into PHP and SQL for dynamic websites.

And learning a programming language depends on how much time you spend learning it.

I would advise you to make an account on 000webhost, as they offer free web hosting for you to upload your own files.

To start off for web i would go with HTML 4.1 then try to use XHTML its basically the same as HTML but more advanced then go and learn CSS3, Java and then the more advanced languages, web takes time to learn and is learned by trial and error, I would completely master the basics of HTML before you learn anything else learn the bare bones and work your way up from there.

EDIT: Start out with notepad++ its a free program and then once you believe you have mastered the HTML basics and the CSS Basics move to adobe dreamweaver the trial has one year i believe but if you really getting into it your going to want to just purchase it.

If you wanna code/program multiple aspects for the computer platform the best way is to learn in this sort of order:
HTML, CSS, Javascript (including libs (jQuery etc.)), php, VB .net, Java, C++ .etc

HTML5 is the langueage u want to learn (very similar to html) then a css just comes natrualy as its so easy. I sugest Koding.com as its got loads of features. It is a little glitchy. GOOD LUCK!
