The Hostess Brands bakery has announced that it will be going out of business after more than 80 years of creating Devil Dogs, Yodels, Ding Dongs, Ring Dings, Ho Ho's, Sno Balls, Suzy Q's, and the company's famous, Twinkies.
Twinkies are fetching big bucks on eBay and Craigslist. A box of 10 is going for $250. Stores across the U.S. are reporting empty shelves where Twinkies once stood.
People are not sure who's to blame. Some critics argue Hostess' management team caused the company to grow stale.
Personally, I wasn't that interested in Twinkies as some people, but it's disappointing that we wont have this "American Classic" anymore.

So this garbage food is finally out? Good. And I heard it was because the workers went on strike for a good amount of time, so they closed down.

I understand us gamers dont watch the news much. But this is the work of the president you voted for. Raising taxes and adding Obamacare that companies can not afford.
The reason this has happened if because of the union. The union does not want to take 2% wage cuts. Unions would rather all get fired then have any pay cut.
For example though. GM motors they did not want to take a pay cut. After they went out of business Obama bailed them out and then gave GM motors to the Union and they gave all their workers a 23% pay cut. They fight to not get a 2% pay cut but as soon as they own it they give the workers a 23% cut. How hypocritical is that.
Hostess will receive the exact kindness as GM motors did. I promise you.
