they are adding "true skill" into halo 4 later in the game like maybe in two-three months. That will be like the halo 3 ranking system.

Humanity is the greatest threat to the Galaxy, so i think that Halo 5 will revolve around humanities quest to obtain the mantle of responsibility but it will be very unlikely that humans will achieve it due to their nature. They are ruthless beings.

there would be no progression in the game if they did that :/ it would just be like halo reach

My theory on how cortana comes back. Her chips was sealed inside a terminal aboard the didactic ship. When the ship blows up the fragment containing her falls back to earth or orbits around it. It is then recovered and one of two things.
1. The recovery team takes here in but she goes insane, takes control of the ship, and is on a domination to destroy the world.
2. The recovery team recovers her and brings her back to halsy then she is reintroduced to master chief.
