This is a super simple glitch.
1. Send a friend request to Devove
2. Go to a custom game on any map and gametype besides Tranzit
3. Press Y and go to my name, click Player Channel
4. Press A on my most recent game that has no picture
5. When it asks you if you want to go to Theatre click no
6. Back out of all the popups you have open back to your custom games lobby and you should see a checkerboard with the map default selected and survival or grief as the game mode.

Pretty fun to troll people with, useless though.
I guess that I found this since I've not seen anyone else post it, or heard anything about the "default" map.

I've already done this before thanksgiving, but it sucked. It's just a troll, works on nuketown too. I'd explain how to do it withouth this guy, but whtever
