I am always having trouble with defense in madden and i dont know how to get Lockdown D

Yes certain plays work for whatever the offense is doing.

When ever you play defense wait for your opponent to pick the play and what ever formation they pick you should be able to pick the good defensive play.
Example: 4 WR that should be zone coverage, another one 2 TE 1WR 1HB that should be man.
