What processor do I need that won't hold back my gtx 670 2gb?

Depends on your budget... an i3 3220 should be the lowest you go for a solid processor. 3570K for About $220 will do fine as well. If you need more power (you probably won't) you can go with the 3930K for $450+ 3770K for $300. That's the top of the line right now.

3570k + Hyper 212 is a sweet spot. LGA 2011 is a stupid platform and extremely expensive for a little more performance that is not justified.

My bad - meant to suggest a 3770k. i3, i5, i7. Agreed the 3570k is your best bet, although the 3770k does push it a bit more, and isn't such a ridiculous price like the 3930.

There's no need for either of those. A 3570K and 2GB 670 would be much better.
