[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (my laptop)

I want to play games like Guild Wars 2 and shooters like Border Lands 2. The one problem i'm having is my computer would overheat even though i'm playing on the lowest settings. Also i would like to play on higher setting than i am now, maybe around medium setting but higher than the lowest would be nice. Thanks!

You can't upgrade.. If you can than build your own. This won't be playing any fps games. It has amd processor with integrated graphic card.
Edit- Also 5200 rpm is slow for a HDD.
Edit agian- for edit didn't see you had it.

Could I buy a brand new CPU? or is that not possible?

Really a new processor won't help. It's your graphic card. You can't upgrade the graphic card on laptops.

You cant really upgrade any components on a laptop. Even if you were to upgrade the graphics card which is extremely hard and 99% impossible then it would overheat none stop

That is not true for all HP G6 laptops. You have integrated graphics, which is not a dedicated card you can take out and upgrade.

You're going to have to live with what you have for now.

That is not true for all laptops. A lot of the higher end laptops you can easily upgrade the CPU/GPU

It would be the easiest thing to do. If you want to play games i would suggest building your own desktop it wont cost that much and is a lot cheaper then buying a pre-built.
