This may not be entirely true. I ranked up from the skull with blue eyes to the skull with blue eyes and the knife behind it by playing a Custom Game of tranzit, on Easy Difficulty! And i was only messing around, got to round 26.

Were you on 5 Tallys? Also, you could have it on magic mode and it still counts toward your rank. Most of the ranking up has to do with how long you play and how consistent you are.

I wanted to add that, I haven't played for a day, and I got put back at the last "zombie prestige" I had blue eyes 5 tallies, now I have regular skull, 4 tallies, you lose a rank a day...
Don't know if anyone said this or not, didn't feel like reading all the replies..
