I want to know if you can find me some good PC gaming headphones for a budget of a maximum of 150 USD?

I was thinking of getting the Audio Technica M50s but I'm not sure how well they will preform for games or movies. Hopefully you know more about this than me.

For games I personally prefer something with a little more bass, explosions are generally in the bass region and emphasized bass gives more impact to them. Try the Ultrasone HFI580, Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro, Creative Aurvana Live!. I'm sure there are a few others I've missed. Ischabible and root should be able to tell you more.

I'm assuming you want isolation. If not, the Sennheiser HD558 or HD555 will work too.

Music preferences: Rap/Hip hop, modern radio music (like Call me maybe)

Type/form-factor: Over ear

Open or closed: Open

Listening from: Probably iPhone/Computer

Details: Preferably portable

I like the K240 for vocals, but not electronic (they sounded a bit foggy), the M50 has never done it for me, the K81 wouldn't be good for vocals, and the HD25 is a bit iffy for vocals and electronic too.

Out of the list of things that I've tried, the K240 would be the best for everything, but I haven't heard the M80.

So you're looking for studio headphones for monitoring or not-so-studio headphones for personal use? I was going to say the MDR-V6 or Jaycar Pro Monitors (FA-003/HM5s for $60). I just really like the idea of the Beyer Custom One, too. Maybe even the UE6000?

So you're looking for studio headphones for monitoring or not-so-studio headphones for personal use? I was going to say the MDR-V6 or Jaycar Pro Monitors (FA-003/HM5s for $60). I just really like the idea of the Beyer Custom One, too. Maybe even the UE6000?

As long as it just werks its fine. The monitoring task can be done on a Presonus HD7, which is a HD681 rebrand, therefore the V6 is not needed.

Just want something portable that can handle both electronic (wubwubbass) and vocals. The C.O.P. is one I'd consider , since Beyers are generally pretty solid. THe UE6000 looks a little fragile and I know they're going to be abused so not them.

The K240 does sound nice with vocals. Although last time I tried them there weren't much bass.

Looks like it's the COP vs M80. Going to give the M80 another listen. If the COP sounds anything like the DT770 then they be fine too.

How about the Pro 700 MkII? They'll sound really great with your bass-boosted Lil' Wayne tracks on Youtube at 64 kbps. They won't break when they fall off of your neck where I assume you will wear them like all the cool kids do nowadays.

Heard they were dark and had recessed mids. Not a good idea for vocals. However I really do need to give them a listen, probably going to get them eventually, although a XB500 would be far more hilarious to have.

AKG K518 or K81.

Open means there is no isolation. I suggested closed ones. If you really want open backs, Sennheiser HD238/239
