davidman wroteDySu wrote Ok so I got my first couple of parts for my new pc, but I need an opinion on what else I need. I know I need a graphics card and memory (ram), but I'm knew to custom pc's and need to know if the parts I want are even compatible.
Parts I have
MSI Z77 M Power Motherboard / Z77 Chipset / 4 x DDR3 up to 32GB / 2 x SATA III Ports / 4 x SATA III Ports
Intel Core i7 3770K Processor / 3.5GHz Frequency / Quad-Core / 8MB Cache
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX 850W
Switch 810 case
128gb SSD (to run program files)
2tb Harddrive
And a dvd burner
Compadable? (or other thoughts)
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-8GXM (4 of these, I'll be running 32gb)
GIGABYTE GV-R787OC-2GD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
also when u buy ur case make sure its an ATX and that your mother board is an ATX aswell or they are not compatible or you might get lucky and the mother board fits into the case
He's already bought everything there. The motherboard is regular ATX and the case is full-tower (fits EATX boards).

This is a good deal, especially if that code can apply to all four sticks.

r00t wrote If I was going to fill in the blanks for the hardware you have right now, I'd say it makes sense for there to be two 7970s. If this was intended to be a gaming rig at all, you done goofed, son. A 7870 is going to be out of place in this rig. The power supply is going to be much less efficiet than it would be with higher-end hardware as you're putting a comparatively tiny load on it. Way out of its sweet spot.
Is this a good graphics card Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 Graphics Card

TTG is being slow for me and I think it's on my end somehow. I haven't been able to keep up with anything and doing builds on Newegg takes three times as long for some reason. My bad, I guess.

No worries dude, I know for a fact everyone appreciates what your doing and understands the fact that it can take some time, I just got impatient and was ready to go.
