Would you rather have a million dollars or a penny doubled every day for thirty days? Let's take a look at the penny option...
Day 1: $.01
Day 2: $.02
Day 3: $.04
Day 4: $.08
Day 5: $.16
Day 6: $.32
Day 7: $.64
Day 8: $1.28
Day 9: $2.56
Day 10: $5.12
Day 11: $10.24
Day 12: $20.48
Day 13: $40.96
Day 14: $81.92
Day 15: $163.84
Day 16: $327.68
Day 17: $655.36
Day 18: $1,310.72
Day 19: $2,621.44
Day 20: $5,242.88
Day 21: $10,485.76
Day 22: $20,971.52
Day 23: $41,943.04
Day 24: $83,386.08
Day 25: $167,772.16
Day 26: $335,544.32
Day 27: $671,088.64
Day 28: $1,342,177.28
Day 29: $2,684,354.56
Day 30: $5,368,709.12
Big difference between $1 million and $5.3 million, huh?
I guess IM is like the latter option. Initially the traffic seems so low and disappointing, but if one can hold on to a project long enough, he would surpass his dreams.
There is no right answer.

This is complete bullshit. You wrote that "A PENNY" would be doubled everyday. You are doubling not only the 1 penny, but the outcome of the double. You have incorrectly posted this kid. Go and learn English.

Same, I just thought this was pretty interesting. Unless the math is shown, people tend to overlook the penny option; Boy if it were a real situation they'd be kicking themselves!

My old algebra teacher showed us this. He said he'd give everyone an "A" if they did it. Everyone was all pumped and then did the math lol.

Go and learn English.I Agree with this guy. If the "penny" doubled daily. then for thirty days you'd earn
1 cent
2 cents
2 cents
2 cents
2 cents

because you didn't say the sum of the pennies being doubled would be doubled the following day. Just the penny itself.

I know English, hence why we are communicating. You don't know the facts: I didn't write this. I found it on a different forum and thought it would be interesting for TTG to look at. If you're referring to the title of the post, then it's because I was running out of space.
The people on other forums were much nicer and understanding to the original writer.
A******.
