i installed windows 7 onto asus 1005p netbook and i got a message saying not genuine copy of windows, your ip address has been sent to microsoft and your computer will be suspended, and now it wont turn on, can anyone help. the fan is not running and when i press the power button the blue light comes on for a second and then goes off, the laptop is pluged in so there is electricity going to it. post if u can help

I think you might have installed a copy of windows 7 that is actually a virus.

If I were you, I would format the hard drive and install a legit copy of windows 7, or another operating system.

i would do but i cant get onto the bios to do so, none of the components seem to be running
