Right now the only way to rank up your clan is by having other Elite members join and give you their 500 Bonus Points. Later on im sure they will add Daily/Weekly challenges for your clan which will rank yo up.

My friends clan had to get 300 kills on teamdeath match for 300xp?

They had one challenge for BLOPS2 and it expired last night. It was the Team Deathmatch challenge he is speaking of.
