Go over to r00t's forum in the stickies at the top of this forum. He will give you the best build by far.

I have posted several times on his topic but I always seem to get skipped even though I do it right. I have read through the post like 5 times...

Power efficiency and 'overclockability' is certainly worth the $15 difference in the 3570K and 2500K. No real reason to pay $20 more for an almost identical HDD when the heavy stuff will be running on the SSD. Case is preference as long as it fits everything I suppose... and why go with a CM 500W? It may be enough but no reason to risk on a gaming rig like this... the Rosewill 650W is extremely reliable. At least get 80 PLUS, too.

The 3570K is no more overclockable than the 2500K, and there is not a significant difference between the two besides price. As for the power supply, I just like to stay away from Rosewill, but they might make some goodies now. The case you recommended is good, and the HDD won't really matter.

Here's why I didn't reply:

And if you're building on or for the 25th I'd be happy to help, but as I've said before, you need to wait until a few days before you order.

That's what you should get for $1000 now, though, assuming you like the looks of the Z9.
