I'm on a 3 year contract with my company (Telus) and i want to jailbreak it but I'm not sure if it will void my contract with them and cancel my plan or anything like that. Thanks in advance for the help

EDIT: on iOS 6.0.1 so i have to wait awhile anyways

you will be fine with the jailbreaking process as long as you dont try and change you service with the jailbreak.also there is a tethered jailbreak that can be done on 6.0.1, tethered just means that whenever your battery dies you must plug your device into your laptop or desktop to turn it back on.. hope i was able to help. also jailbreaking is un-detectible.have a nice day - Drizzy HD

Jailbreaking will not void warranty. there are certain things can void warranty like on the iphone 3 if you changed the baseband to the ipad baseband to jailbreak it you cuoldnt change it back and they would notice if it broke and you sent it in but you should be ok.
