My birthday is coming up and i usually get a big gift for Christmas and my birthday, so I want a newwheadset but I am aware you can't.really.sound whore well on blops2. But anyways any recommendations would be helpful

Turtle beaches are good

I think the official black ops headset is made by turtle beaches not sure.

no point in buying a headset for BO2, footsteps and completely silent even with awareness perk

Great value for money,

Very comfortable and sensitive mic,

Great sound and bass

I have and love the turtle beach xp500s. they are amazing and for the people saying you cant sound whore they don't know what they are talking about because you can. It isn't like mw3 sound whoring but that was op in my opinion. They are normally priced around 250$ but can be found on sale often you can make up to 8 customized presets on the turtle beach website. It needs double A batteries but i bought rechargeable ones it is wireless but you can buy an additional cord to make it wired from the website not sure if it is sold in stores. If you i awareness and they are using dead silence i can still hear them with my setup. The are kind of expensive but they are good quality and turtle beach in general last a while so if you want to buy a good quality headset i would recommend them to anybody.
