Could be that I am weird. However, to me it'll be awkward because scientists predicted and made a movie of the world ending.

Well, those "scientists" are dumb and said that the "world will end in 2012" because they want the attention of the people. It's pretty much a conspiracy.

No scientist made the movie 2012 nor did they predict the end of the world. People just made up some silly stories because the Mayan calender ends this year. But, the Mayans didn't take leap years into consideration so really, the world should have ended years ago if we're going along with it.
