The ending was...really...interesting. In my opinion, I don't think Desmond is dead although he is on the ground, fried like chicken, but he could just gone into another coma like in Revelations. I guess we'll just have to wait until Ubisoft announces another AC game to be sure.

Even though it is completely plausible he is dead I feel as though he isn't. Like someone said prior to me, many game series die with that of their main character, and it would be a lengthy project just to create a new main character with a new background somehow linking to Desmond and his ancestors. I feel as though Minerva (or Juno I haven't played in a while) will somehow save Desmond, and or one of his ancestors. The opening scene of the next Assassins Creed game may very well be him waking up from some comatose state!

It's the opposite for me. Throughtout the series I could have cared less about desmond. I just like playing as the assassins and their stories.

I really hope they make more Assassins Creed games. They have been my favorite games of all time.

You do realize without Desmond in the Animus, you can't access those stories...right?
