Virus issues[windows_pc]
If you are suspicious that you may have a virus lurking around your PC it is very important to get it sorted as soon as possible. Follow this guide on how to get the computer clean of viruses. [These can take several hours]
*Average time taken "1hour_30mins"
*Requirements:
First: Reboot the computer, whilst the computer is boting through the BIOS hold down the F8 key. You should see something like this.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Press "Safe Mode With Networking"
Second: The computer will then boot into safe mode. You will need the copy of Malwarebytes you downloaded earlier. If you did not download, do it now. Run the setup and install it to the computer, make sure you do all the updates!
Third: Malwarebytes should open when all the updates are finished, if not open it, now run a Full Scan on "Local Disc C:" *and the other partitions(ONLY IF YOU HAVE THEM)
Forth: Malwarebytes will run for an hour or more, when it has finished make sure you click "Show Results" and tick all the viruses found.
*Malwarebytes is very reliable but be warned it may NOT find all the viruses on your computer.

How to stop startup programs and services[windows_pc]
This is one way to get rid of those annoying programs that open when you start up windows and will possibly speed up your boot time.
First: Open the start menu.
operating_system.colour
windows_xp.red
windows_vista.blue
windows_7.blue
go to "run" and type in "msconfig"
click the search bar and type in "msconfig"
Second: You will see a box appear, go to the "startup" tab, click "disable all".
Third: Now go to the "services" tab and select "hide all microsoft items" then click "disable all".
Reboot the computer and hopefully you will see a difference, if not don't worry, the startup programs are not making much difference to the speed of the computer.

I am going to update again when I have more time.
