Hey guys I have an HP pavilion g6 series laptop. It currently has 4 gb of ram and for christmas I want to upgrade it to 8gb but I am not sure of what kind to get. I will upload pictures of the current ram if needed. I know it is a samsung one that's all.. I am kinda a noob to computer hardware so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Open it up and see if there is two slots or just one slot

your laptop can have up to 8gb so 2x4gb modules or 1x8gb
