Can someone name the steps for it? Since it has changed a few times im a little confused

it did not change. there are plenty tut around the TTG Black Ops 2 Glitch section.. Use the search function
sign guest in. sign guest out. sign guest in on 1st controller. main acc on 2nd controller. sign controller on (guest account) out. sign guest account in but swith the slots again. You have just successfully achieved your new rank.
