Ok, so a few minutes ago was the first time I ever saw the movie. EXCELLENT movie.

The main point of this topic is going to be behind the spoiler. Do not read the comments or open the spoiler if you haven't seen the movie yet and want to.. It contains spoilers lol.

I warned you.
Alright, so the end is what I want to talk about...

Is batman dead? A bomb with a 6 mile radius would surely kill a man, and it showed the last 5 seconds before it blew up. Would he really be able to survive that?

I think the main reason for the ending is because I'm pretty sure Warner Brothers is making the next movie and for them to be able to do whatever they want with it.

Because John reveals himself as Robin, The Batman symbol is fixed and Alfred sees Batman in Florence..

I think it's just so Warner Bros. can be flexible with the story line to the next one.

What do you think?

Oh I seen this when it came out, I think the next one is going to be with Batman & Robin, Robin was that detective that loved batman so much and Batman ended up at the place his butler imagined it was a ending with a lot of questions.

Agreed that it was done so that the sequel can be done in many different ways. Why do you think the Warner Bros. will be making the next one? I realize that Nolan said he would not continue the series, which is why I'm not 100% sure if there will even be another movie.

No he's not dead. Bruce Wayne fixed the autopilot 6 months before all of this happened. So he used the autopilot.

I've just heard from different places that Warner Bros atleast wants to make the next one. And they do have a "Justice League" movie coming up.

BUT, it showed him in the vehicle 5 seconds before it blew.

Great movie. If you paid attention at the end, you learn that he fixed the autopilot system. I'm sure he jumped out before he got to the water, maybe around the time he blew the hole in the one building. He was even seen at the end with Catwoman. He is alive, just appeared to die to get away.

It showed him in a cockpit, not the vehicle. Maybe the whole thing can pop out. It was probably how he was controlling it until the very end.

I don't think so because as you remember near the end lucias (Lush-us) was checking on the auto-pilot and it worked, so my thinking is that he set auto-pilot on and made it go out in the ocean..

Alfred said that his dream was to be in Florence and to see Bruce not worrying about being Batman and relaxing with his Wife and to look over and nodd at each other that they're doing fine.

At the end, this happened. Was it an illusion?

It's meant to have the viewer excited, to want them to anticapate the next movie. They've run with Batman for a while, so it's only right that Robin is finally introduced. You can't really drag the same character on forever
