-Whiskey wrote I will tell you what Yin I am utterly confused now. A bit of research and this is what I found.

"Christian Bale has stated that he would not play Batman if Robin appeared anywhere in the trilogy. Christopher Nolan agreed not to include Robin as it would undermine the dark tone of his series. At the end of the film, Detective John Blake's (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) legal name is revealed to be "Robin", and he quits the police force and is shown to enter the Batcave by following the instructions presumably left by Bruce Wayne in his will. "

"Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the first Robin who never wore Robin's uniform, and the first actor in a live-action Batman film whose alter-ego is not **** Grayson. "

I guess given the certain circumstances, they still are going to give him credit as being Robin. I do promise you though that the director somewhere did say it wasn't another Robin. Maybe they decided to change their mind because of that curveball that you stated earlier. Well, another Robin to add to the nice list of Robin's, lol. I thank you for finding that.

I am sure the circumstances lead to him changing his previous statement. Definitively some mixed information about the whole robin thing. The next and final film will reveal all. I honestly, have to say I hope he is robin only because of the awesome elements that will add but that's not considering the nostalgia memories it would bring with it. Regardless Christopher Nolan is a great director and I can't wait until the last addition to a marvelous series.
