Hi I just recently built my first computer. I have all of the components plugged in (I think) and I plugged in the power and used the built in power switch to turn it on, but it won't turn on. I am pretty sure I accidentally hit the mobo with my screwdriver a couple times. And a tiny bit of thermal paste went on. Is there any solution except to buy a new mobo? Thanks and I will +rep.

Did you mess up a solder trace? If so you are pretty much screwed. Wipe the thermal paste off.

This happened to me, make sure your case button wires are in the correct places on your motherboard.
