This does work, you must have done something wrong at one point...Or are just trying to be a d*ck and flame. My friend did it with one of my dummy accounts and worked first try

This is an official bypass, yes it works, tested by my friend with one of MY dummy accounts. Took him 5 minutes first time

Before the Patch I even tried to sign out and it did the same thing. What I did is, i clicked B to back out the high prestige profile. And I went directly in a public match with my main acc that just got the prestige, and it worked fine. Try that?
