So, is anyone as excited about The Hobbit as I am? I can't wait to see it as I'm a HUGE nerd when it comes down to The Lord of the Rings. I've read The Hobbit, so I know what happens, and I also know the general tone of the book/film is slightly different than LOTR because it's a different type of adventure they embark on. But nevertheless, this has to be the film I've most wanted to see this year, even above TDKR. I've been waiting 10 freaking years for a follow up to LOTR and I just hope it doesn't disappoint.

So, anyone think it'll be as good as the original trilogy?

I hope it is as good as the trilogy, but as you said - it's a different adventure. I'm sure it'll be amazing though, as it's directed by Peter Jackson - probably my favourite film director.

Yeah, he's an incredible director. The only thing I'm skeptical of is the fact the orc's are CGI created rather than actual people in costume. Other than that, it should be good. It's a lighter version of LOTR.

I just watched The Hobbit yesterday, I have to say it was an amazing film. I can't wait for the Second Hobbit movie, desolation of Smaug (or whatever it was dubbed). The Hobbit actually had some really funny moments, and it's a good insight about a lot of characters. I watched the original hobbit a long long time ago, and I have to say; this one is the best!

Has anyone seen this in HFR 3D?

The HFR 3D will be superior to the IMAX 3D im going to see.

So ill probably book tickets to see in HFR
