I've only had this account for 8 days. How many posts would you expect in 8 days?
I was asking if it was typical on here for people to not give rep even when you have gone out of your way to help them or even solve their problem.

Also, I don't post just to say I posted, like someone obviously does if they have over 100 posts in 2 days. I post when I can help someone or when I have something important to say/ask.

to answer your question member not always give reputation points if the member is nice and feels like you deserve rep they will rep you but usually you will not get rep.

Thank you, at least now I know to stop wasting my time helping people. I thought it would be a good outreach but if it is to be met with no appreciation, I would rather send the time helping people on the Xbox Ambassador forums.

Your rep increases by 1 every 25 posts. You may be awarded "partial rep power" by other site members if they find your posts helpful, and if they decide to rep you. When they rep you, you recieve a certain amount of this rep power, from 1 to 25 at a time. Once you recieve 100, then your rep increases by one.
