I confirmed it k/d is definately what its based off of and i rounded up all my k/d's and all my friends k/d's and found what you should be shooting for. i got my knife recently yesterday at 99 k/d

So then how come people do the round skip and get Shotguns? Hmmm? Exactly.

this does come into play but the easiest way to rank up and it works is using the k/d method

It goes off time played, if you play alot of zombies for 5 days you will get higher "level" if you dont play alot of zombies for 5 days your rank will go down.

i dont think it is to do with time played. exept for the deranking part. i have played at least 1 game everyday mostly more. And im only skull with blue eyes

Any theories on an estimated requirement of kills to be eligible for the various ranks?

I doubt it's based on K/D...I have gotten 300 kills and 0 downs,yet I still only have to Skull with Blue eyes

thats exactly what i was thinking because i had all hash marks and blue eyes then stopped playing for a few days and i lost all but 1 mark.
