I was wondering how I can make the lighting in my room iphone controlled, only my room. I am pretty sure there are light switches that can do this, but I am not sure which ones or anything about it. I would only need 1 switch and I am sure I would need a receiver or something like that also. Would someone who knows something about this help me out with what to , and how to set it up?

Mine are controlled with my iPhone too. But I did it "my own" way... My dad has a large salt water reef aquarium and he has a tank controller called an AquaController Apex. Each outlet is controlled individually and you can ramp it up or down. So he has all his fish tank controlled and had a few outlets free. So we just wired a extension cord to my room. And im not 100% sure how my dad did it but the power coming from the power grid of the house passes through the end of the cord. There is an APP for Apex too. So when I switch "____Room" to OFF, the lights turn off. And i can set it at a certain percent. Really really nifty. Probably way to expensive for just that since the Apex costs around 1000 bucks. But we needed it for the fish tank anyways.

I know it didnt help but thought it tell you how i did mine. And theres got to be DIY ways.

Obviously you cant just get an app to control your lights... Lol. Your lights need to be somehow connected to the internet...
