Why did you choose those specific parts, OP?

LGA 2011 is not a good platform in general if you want to get half decent power for your dollar, especially in a gaming scenario. LGA 1155 3570K would be more than enough. Games won't benefit from more cores or hyper-threading. Overpriced gimmicky board that's not justified. Closed loop CPU cooler - overpriced and under-performing. A NH-D14 / Phanteks are the same price and will get much cooler temperatures - NZXT Havik 140 / Hyper 212 are cheaper alternatives that still perform great. GTX 680 is not worth the price for two reasons - it's barely better than the GTX 670 but it's $100 more and a 7970 is a better performer and just so happens to have an extra gig of vRAM which will become relevant. Calculating how much power you need is the least of your worries - getting the right build overall and not wasting money is a priority.

Thanks took your advice into consideration im going with the gtx 660 and the NH-D14 cooler. but I already have the processor, any advice on a different motherboard with a LGA 2011 socket?

Ya dun goofed, man. If there is anyway to return it, do it. But if this is somehow not an option, I'd just grab the lowest end board there is ( it's an enthusiast platform, so the ''lower'' end boards are actually still a solid choice ).
