About to order my gaming rig, just need to check a couple of things.

The biggest question - Will all the components fit into the Motherboard, PSU and the Case? Especially as the PSU and the sound card which I have changed. (There was no sound card in the first place, increased wattage of PSU)
I have also changed the 120GB SSD to a 60GB SSD, is this a good choice as the SSD is simply for booting, and the 1TB HDD is for general storage like games and files. (Windows 7 Professional will be on the SSD)
Do i need any extra parts, such as extra fans and stuff like that?
What standard of games will this run, e.g. settings on Ultra 45fps and stuff like that.

Much Appreciated.

The PC and Components
Parts and the PC

This should be fine for minecraft and BF3 on medium settings with decent framerate :

Total: 520.91
Total with rebates: 495.91

Total without Optical Drive (not needed if downloaded windows / check PM ): 503.92
Total w/o ODD WITH rebates: 478.92

An APU is basically an GPU + CPU, with the 6670 you can crossfire the CPU's GPU with the actual dedicated video card and crossfire them (2 video cards) and this would actually outperform an Intel G850 + HD 7770

Hola good Sir/people, I've been looking at building my own PC for a few years now but have always had a more practical use for a laptop seeing as I work away from home. I have a stack of money building up though and thought it was about time I invested in a build. I've lost touch with computing over the past few years, but I know a bit and have tried to put my own build together, but considering I'm not upto speed on the latest components and technology I thought it wise to confer with some guys who are in the know.

My budget is quite considerable especially without the need of a monitor, but if a build of my desire can be compiled for cheaper than my budget then obviously I'd prefer that. That being said, thanks in advance for the help, it's something I will greatly appreciate.

Budget & Currency: 1500 GBP

Peripherals: Speakers; Quality is not a priority seeing as I primarily use headphones. Keyboard and Mouse - I have no preferences, although preferably something gaming friendly and not too expensive. I refuse to pay over the odds for a keyboard and mouse when the bog standard peripherals suffice. -_-

Games: The main purpose of my build is for gaming, basically I'd like to be able to play any game without a hitch.

Software:

I use quite a lot, from Sony Vegas, AutoCAD to MS Office.

Aesthetics:

Performance over aesthetics; although as you mentioned in your original post, I'd prefer my build not to be an eyesore. If it looks nice and tidy enough, that will suffice, I trust your judgement.

Case-wise, again I trust your judgement, one with a window would be nice though.

Rebates/Promos: Nope.

Details: SSD 120GB or thereabouts if possible, 3TB HDD, I use 8GB RAM on my laptop and I although I feel it may be overkill, I think perhaps an upgrade to 16GB would be good. A BR-DVD drive. RAID is something I'm unfamiliar with, I've looked into it but can't decide if it's a viable addition or not. Again, If you think it would be worthwhile by all means add it, again I'm not sure whether RAID 0 or 1 would be the better addition. OS - W8 64 bit - no preference to the edition.

When:

Looking to order it by this Wednesday coming (19th)

Prioritized performance and put it all in a case that does the job adequately, subtly, and with a good price. Really awesome price on the Core 3000. The 7970 outpaces the 680 in most tests for a lot less but if you play only games that favor Nvidia or if your applications use CUDA, I'd suggest a 670. The power supply will support two cards easily if you decide to play at 2560x1440 on a higher-res monitor or add two more 1080p monitors to play uin Eyefinity/Surround. You can also get a Crucial M4 [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] because they're out of stock on Scan, which is very annoying. I'd go for the M4 over the 330. I did include nice peripherals because they're effing amazing and you don't know what you're missing. The G400 is top of the heap for a low price and the Quickfire is killer value. The Brown switches are great as a first switch because they do gaming and typing just as well as a midway point between Blues and Blacks. The T3130 is great for the price. Make sure you overclock the 3770K with that fancy cooler and follow [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] when installing Windows!
