Does anyone know if there is a way to jailbreak the iPhone 4S on the 6.0.1 out yet ?

There is no possible way to jailbreak the iPhone 4S over 5.1.1

Why not ? and also do I have to downgrade my iPhone then if I want to jailbreak it ?

Well maybe if you read his post he has a iPhone 4S does not apply for the semi tethered jailbreak. The only reason that works because of a bootrom exploit in the A4 devices.

so there still is NO jailbreak for a iPhone 4S on 6.0.1

They haven't found an untethered jailbreak yet

Iphone 4s is still unsupported

Redsnow devs have been working for a release soon but they are working on the iphone and the ipad to release at the same time ( They work for free in their spare time so it can take some time for a release )

and with the iphone 4 you have to have SHSH blobs saved to downgrade and then jailbreak otherwise you wont be able to get untethered...

aa) Well done bozo. I'm afraid that only applied to pre A5 devices. The Old Bootroom 3GS, I believe, can be jailbroken Untethered, but no other device currently.
