Peripherals & Monitor: Cheap HD monitor, gaming keyboard and mouse
Games: Games like LoL, far cry 3, skyrim on very high
Software: not sure if this counts but windows 7
Aesthetics: as long as the case isn't hideous and its black i don't mind
Rebates/Promos: Not bothered, but promos preferred.
Details: Gaming Build mainly. Good Graphics card for future releases. i want to eventually get a second monitor just incase that changes anything

I focused on graphics performance so I chose to save money by going with a non-K i5. Without the overclocking capability, which won't do much for you, you don't need to shell out as much for an aftermarket cooler or higher-end motherboard that supports overclocking. I also picked out some awesome peripherals that are priced very well. The Cherry MX Red switches will be excellent for gaming and the G400 is superb. The graphics card overclocks like a champ and comes with Far Cry 3, Hitman, and Sleeping Dogs for free. Since you were getting FC3 anyway, that's a nice touch.

Software: Sony Vegas pro 11, Photoshop, record Xbox
Aesthetics: don't mind what it looks like

Details: i would like the ability to add a second screen in about a month ( if possible) but only want one monitor right now. i edit videos but not loads so gaming is more of a priority. would also like it to have 5.1 sound card.

If you want to overclock, invest ~20 pounds in a Hyper 212 EVO to OC to around 4.2ghz stable. I included the sound card and if you're adding a second monitor you should be fine with the 7850 since it suppots 3+ displays from the same card.
