Well I have just bought this graphics card and I have currently played SR3, Metro 2033 and R6V2 on Max Settings. I am wondering is they're any games I won't be able to play or is this a decent enough GPU for games like BF3 and Crysis on Max Settings. Also when the intro starts on SR3 I get a sqeaking noise from it, what does this mean?
I know its not the best GPU but It only cost me 140 so it was a bargain. I didnt have the money so I sold my xbox and got it to start PC Gaming.

And yes, the 7970 is great for that, just make sure you have a good CPU like an intel core i5-3570k
Here are some benchmarks of the 7970 playing BF3 on ultra.

As you can see, on ultra the 7970 gets 97 FPS!
However there's No AA (Which, honestly, I have no clue what that is)
But the 7970 will deliver what you want
And yes, the 7970 is great for that, just make sure you have a good CPU like an intel core i5-3570k
