Get windows 7.
it's much better for gaming, and windows 8 is mainly for tablets and stuff like that.

I currently am using windows 8 on my gaming pc and I have to say I have no problems with it.
it runs fast no bloatware at all and it is very easy to use after you get the hang of it

Yes, I agree with NewYork, when I got my new PC and it had windows 8 on it, I was sad, but after using it for a few days, it has proved me wrong and I am really starting to get the like of it. I don't know why everyone says it is glitchy and buggy, I have had one minor problem with it so far which was just something to do with skype.

I got an HP laptop with Windows 8 and it has a lot of bugs. Windows 7 is much easier and better.

I think it all comes down to personal preference in the end but I would go with 7
