I got my computer in late March, it was built online by me. When it arrived it was the computer I have always wanted but after a month or so it started to have problems... In the first hour or so of playing games it would crash at least 1-2 times but I thought it was just because it needed to heat up. But it kept getting worse and worse.. now it crashes ALL the time but stop for a little while. If I left it there not doing anything for about 5-10 mins I would come back and it would crash (No blue screens or anything) I also have to system restore all the time because it makes me do it. Today I updated my graphics card changed my BIOS to make it more powerful... Still no change. Now I have just given up and I am asking you guys if you have ANY idea what could be causing this.

Specs:
Hard drive: 1 Terabyte Hard Disk
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 1GB GTX560
CPU: Intel i5 2500 - 4 Cores - 3.3Ghz
Ram: 12GB DDR3 1333Mhz Memory

I hope you guys know whats wrong

EDIT: I also haven't had a anti-virus on the computer which might be the reason

EDIT 04/01/13: I got Norton 360 but didn't do anything

You may have a virus so first things first check that.

Next try reinstalling your os it should have come with a serial key. So go on google search the os you have download it put it on a disk or USB with the microsoft iso tool (google it) and reinstall it

It could be a file you installed on since you had no anti-virus I would reset it and just reload windows on it.

It is not a virus. No Norton can help

I suggest you re install the operating system itself.

Then get the latest drivers again.

If you still can't play games It is probably because you don't have the latest Graphics Drivers

you can find them here [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Also,

Re install any other drivers you have.

If everything else is fine. Maybe it's a game you are playing. If it's too old. Most likely it might be incompatible. But i doubt that is the problem.

also, is the game a store copy? or a Rip?

Be honest here. Sometimes pirated games are a bad rip.

I'm installing the latest Graphics Drivers atm. The only games I currently play are Minecraft, BF3, GTA IV and Sniper Elite V2 (I bought them all)

Also It stops after a few times of crashing but If I leave it there for like 20 mins It will start doing it again

It could be a faulty part, maybe your power source isn't working properly
