My friend had an absolute nightmare with I believe it was FOUR different Asus P8P67 boards. Terrible support, bad board after bad board, lack of clarity about revisions, etc. His brand new rig with a 2500K and two 6950s was out of commission for months.

Anyone can say _____ is terrible because of a bad experience. MSI, Asus/Asrock, Gigabyte, EVGA, Intel, Biostar, and more all make fantastic boards and they've all alienated customers because of one bad experience. It doesn't matter if you ever buy MSI again, but there's no reason the best bang-for-your-buck Z77 boards should not be an option for other people.

I'm gonna go with a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
Purely for the fact I've had good experience with their boards and a few friends of myne have too.

Gigabyte boards are also the most user friendly boards for installing Mac OS X - no need to install any drivers or anything.

However, the MSI G43 is a superb board from everything I've seen, especially at the price it's listed at. I'd really consider it first.
