I have been doing some comparison analysis of black ops 2 campaign saves. I compared two saves, the first on recruit difficulty, mission 1, checkpoint 1 with a default loadout. I compared it to a second save that was identical except for the primary weapon being an ak-47.
When I compared the two in a hex editor there was a huge difference, more than half of the files contents were different. My intention was to determine the structure of these save files and to use this knowledge to make a modding program. This huge inexplicable difference between files has put a halt on my attempts at making this program.
If anyone has any knowledge of the structure of these files it would be greatly appreciated if they would help me. If someone can think of a better way of going about my research then please say so, I am open to suggestion.
