Why do you want to be staff - I love helping people, and being part of large servers. And to be honest, who doesn't like being a moderator?
Do you script/code - Very simple Java. I shouldn't be relied on for this though.
Do you know any commands - Yes, I know quite a few, and know pretty much all the default server ones for MC. I may have to get used to the ones your server has, if they have special ones I have no experience with.
