if your into headsets, forget turtlebeach and triton, iv used both and yesterday i picked up my first pair of astros, the a50s. they are byfar the best headset iv owned and amazing. my reasons.
1. Super comfortable memorey foam/cotton mesh
2. Super durable/flexable the turn into a 90 degree angle bending wise without breaking.
3. Super sound quality that is 100% amazing
4. Semi wireless (just a small talkback wire from headset to controller)
5. Rechargeable no batteries needed *can recharge while playing
6. Cool way to now mute mic, *just lift arm of mic up and it mutes, when moved back
infront of face it unmutes itself.*
7. Wired amp and Dolby Surround System are a bonous with this headset.
Disadvantages
1. The chat and game voloume switches- the way they are located on the headset is awkward and confusing.
2.Price expensive $299.99 CAD

Other than that this headset is TOTALLY recomended. Thanks for reading, hope you get some astro gaming headwear.

They are good headsets but overpriced like way overpriced. They might be amazing quality and an amazing product but if you take the time to look around amazon for a good headset you will find one that suits your needs. Just my opinion+I would rather by an I-pod touch
they are the near exact same price.

a40's are much better.... wireless headsets are very unreliable and can break much easier than wired, the extra $60 you pay for A50's is definetely not worth it

Yes very true. Ill tell you somthing. the only reason i got an expensive headset was because my parents had no idea what to get me for xmas. The first gift was the Call Of Duty Turtle Beach Tango headset. After returning this headset twice due to problems with chating to other players (sounded like i was talking through a kinect mic) i went with astros. i like them so much, i thought id write a review on them. id only recomend if you using a headset for more than 4 hours a day and have the money for it. Thanks for the reply

i beg to differ, iv had 3 wired headsets and the wires and mics have gone in them, my 2 other wireless ones still work, i just replaced them, so i decided to stick with wireless. and now that these are batteryless i enjoy them much more

I had the x41's and they were the worst headset ever... the interruption which I got when playing was absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money I paid for them

The Reviews on the x41/x500's where terrible. any wireless headset that turtle beach has produced are terrible. iv had 2 sets of tritons(wireless) and turtle beach x11 x12 px21 and x31<wireless> and out of em all astros a50's are the way to go for me.

The only problem with astros are their price. $299.99 is just wayyy to much for a headset that most likely will break due to wear and tear.
