Well if you want to get the new ones and you have the money then get them but if you don't then get the refurbished.

I bought x41's off ebay from the actual TurtleBeach company because thats where they sell their refurbished headsets and they work great.

Just get the new ones, you don't wanna spend 40 dollars less for something that will not last as long as new ones.

I would get the new ones. The other ones will probably not last as long.

Refurbished things are just fine. Refurbished stuff means it was broken, or someone opened the box and then decided to return it. But, the manufacturer fixed the problem, and it underwent strict quality control, most likely even more strict than a new product.

You'll be just fine buying refurbished things, even better than buying new. I bought an Silver Xbox controller w/Play and Charge Kit for $35 refurbished, and it's still fine today. As long as the refurbished unit is from a legitimate chain (BestBuy, Amazon themselves), then you should be fine. Worst case scenario, the refurbished ones and new ones both have warranty.
