You didn't say you wanted to game or edit so I decided to use the i3 3220 since its alot cheaper than 3570k and still runs very good.
He asked for an i5.

Z68 won't natively support Ivy Bridge processors out of the box and requires a BIOS update. It's just a pain in the back. Just grab a low end B75 board.

The CPU and Mobo wont help you with that by a lot, you'll need a gpu which you cant fit in your price range currently if you want to play on high settings.

Cheapest i5, cheapest B75 motherboard, and the cheapest 8GB of RAM. The i5 is the model without integrated graphics as well. OP will have to raise his budget to meet his expectations.
Either that or lower his expectations as the i3 is fine for what you'll want to do OP.
