I'm about to RGH my console with a bad disc drive. Since the drive is bad, I heard you can install using a retail console, then use nxe2god and god2iso to make it an iso file, then run through wx360 and put it in xexmenu. Is this true? will it work?

just ftp it over to the xbox using an ethernet cable and on fsd you don't need a disc drive as you can download the games you want off the internet and ftp them or transfer anyway you want to and play off the hard-drive thats pretty much the point of a jtag well one of the reason because they run without the disc hoped i helped but it would be better to have a disc drive because its faster to rip/burn games to the hard drive and its cheaper because if you dont have unlimited downloads each game can be up-to 8-9 giga byte and that could be very expensive throughout time

Just download a iso, google a ISO download region free. Then put the .iso file in Xbox Backup Creator, and extract ALL FILES onto a USB. Plug usb in and press Default.xex to load up the game. Done. Its simple
