I know you see green mist in game when you unlock a permanent perk however I was playing with my friends yesterday and I saw them both get green mist as they hit 500 kills, and they now have a knife through their head on their rank. So could the green mist mean you got lvled up as well.

the green mist is when you gain a temporary perk, for a few games or so, hitting 500 kills will not have anything to do with this; Treyarch patched the permanent perk glitch, so now you can only get temporary perks for a few games

Wrong

It lasts until you have been emp'd

And the green mist means that they probably got deadshot, an in game feature that has never been a glitch.

you sir, are a retard, green mist can mean you have gained any TEMPORARY Perk you imbecile , you see green bubbles (mist) when you have 17 revives in one game, sprint 15-25 miles, 2-3 headshot's with 1 bullet, 1500 grenade kills, steel barricades, and many more, go look at that sticky in the BO 2 Forum, it has how to achieve all the perks that are achievable, so go cry in a corner
