So im stuck on what to get im going to be making montages and lets plays wich one do you think will be good for me?

Elgato by far.
The only advantage for PVR is that it can record in 1080p.
The elgato has less wires, an is smaller and easier.
I would say Elgato.

Elgato all the way, HDPVR 2 GE is what I got and it sucks Pen15. Im returning it for a Elgato.

Good choice, smart man. Elgato's are wayy better than anything else, just check the specs on the website to make sure your comp meets its standards.
