The clip that connects the laser to the motor rod, it also gets jammed, There the noise is not there when the clip is removed. Here is a video of the problem :

hmm that is strange, first i would see if there was somthing blocking it, if there is nothing blocking it replace the DVD drive and put the old motherbored in the new DVD drive

There is nothing blocking it. I was wondering could it be the pole holding the laser not being secured in right ?
