PLEASE READ: First off, this is my FIRST build ever, so if something is wrong, don't hate on me in comments, just leave a comment and nicely tell me what I should change, keep in mind, I have $1,150 to spend, not anymore than that.

Processor - AMD FX 8350 (I want an i5 3570K but trying to save $)
GFX - Gigabyte GTX 660ti - 2GB
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA 970A
RAM - 8GB (4GB x 2)
Power Supply - Cooler Master 750w
HDD - 500GB 7.2K + 64GB SSD
Case - NZXT Phantom 410
OS - Windows 7 or 8??? (For Gaming)

I plan on buying parts this weekend so suggestions would be great ASAP.

For the Operating System I would definitely choose Windows 7, reason my choice is W7 is because with all of the features that W8 has, has just made it complicated.

But you really should try and save up for i5 3570k, it will benefit you a lot more for gaming.

But other than that, it seems like a pretty solid build.

Yes but keep in mind he also needs too buy an intel motherboard for an intel CPU because of the sockets.

Grrrr, everyone is telling me i5 i5 i5, I guess i'm gonna have to go with it. It's $30 more than the AMD so should I go with it and just get a little cheaper motherboard?
