Hey TTG. I just got my first components for my first build. Now i am very clueless to PC's, but i know that you save tons of money and you can upgrade which is what im looking for. I ordered the motherboard, case , Graphics Card, power supply, and optical drive. I know i should've ordered the rest but i had only so much cash and wanted to get the deals. All im missing is the CPU, RAM, and HDD. I ran the computer ( this is where the noobness came in) hoping that i could at least see a BIOS and the few beeps. I got nothing. Now i plugged everything in the right way, the USB etc, but the front lead plugs im having trouble with. Some problems im worried about are as followed:
1. My power on/off switch will turn the computer on, but not off.
2. When i hit the reset button the computer doesnt do the "stop for half a second and boot back up" as i think is should.
3. When plugged in using a HD cord nothing on the screen shows up.
4. The PLED( power led lights)dont turn on even though they're plugged in right.
Basically. Should this happen without: RAM, CPU, and a HDD.
Parts(currently owned)
Case- APEVIA X-SUPRA G-Type
MotherBoard-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131860
VideoCard-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202004
Power Supply- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Optical Drive- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
If you can think of anything please post below.
Thank You
