Hello TTG

Hemingway (at this current moment) is a 2 piece pop-rock band. Alex (me) and Sam are both from Manchester in the UK. We're both 18 and have been making music for around 4 years now. We've been referred to as a cross between John Mayer, The Script, Ed Sheeran and Oasis.
A bit of the background of the band is very simple. Me and Sam used to be in a band together - we split up and a year later me and sam found each other again and decided to create music. We've recently produced 11 demo's, 2 of which are above, and ALL are self recorded in my attic. Everything you hear has been by the 2 of us. Sam play's the guitar and bass as well as vocals on the tracks, and i play the drums and cajon, as well as capturing, mixing and mastering of all the tracks.
Right, now the formal stuff is over let me introduce myself. I'm Alex, I'm 18 and i'm a skinny English bloke with a fringe and a bright pink drum kit. I learnt drum's completely on my own. My dad bought me a drum kit when i was 14, and i haven't looked back since. I watched video's of all different types of drummers and picked my technique up completely by watching not learning. Same with the beats i come up with - purely by ear. I am the complete brains behind this band (really).
And let's not forget Sam. Sam is 18, his birthday is a month before mine. Unlike me, he is a buff English bloke with streamlined black hair and a nice black strat. As like me, he learnt guitar by ear. His dad used to be a guitarist and a singer so i guess he is just following in his footsteps. Sam is the looks (really) and promotion of the band.
